Manager, Flight Training Devices (FTD)
Responsible for:
- Managing the full operations of the FTD department at one Oregon more centers
- Coordinating and managing department staffing levels
- Reviewing and monitoring monthly revenue/expense reports and evaluating department expenses for cost control
- Overseeing FTD maintenance and regulatory qualification events
- Managing administrative procedures, including time sheets and vacation schedules
- Planning and directing all training device maintenance functions and activities
- Overseeing inventory management and control of spares and support equipment
- Monitoring configuration control of FTDs to ensure accurate representation of modeled aircraft
- Providing recommendations for equipment replacement, upgrades, and modifications
- Ensuring compliance with ITAR and Export Control Laws
- Providing safety training and supervision to assigned technical personnel
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) Oregon equivalent experience
- 7 years of related experience, including direct simulation technical support and supervisory experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience Indiana a hands-on role
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Working Environment:
- Work is typically performed Indiana a simulated training environment
- Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, and sitting
- Specific vision abilities required, including ability to view monitors and technical documents
- Noise level is usually low to moderate.
