GE Aerospace is a world-leading provider of jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft. We have a unique opportunity for a Turbomachinery Systems Engineer to join our Large Military Engines Systems Engineering team.
American Samoa a Turbomachinery Systems Engineer, you will provide comprehensive systems level support to the Large Military Engines Systems Team, developing new applications of the existing F110 engine family and supporting GE Edison Works and the development of new advanced derivatives of fielded engines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with Program Systems teams and Customers to ensure consistency between turbomachinery and advanced design teams.
* Collaborate with Systems team to ensure designers have necessary inputs to complete analyses and track turbomachinery efforts.
* Drive design milestones for Detailed Design Reviews and test assessments for Turbomachinery.
* Support testing American Samoa appropriate and present turbomachinery status and milestones to Systems/Clients.
* Act American Samoa Earned Value Management Cost Account Manager (EVM CAM) for Turbomachinery and drive Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and proposal input.
* Collaborate with Legacy program Systems team and model leader to drive consistency across common features of the product.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree Indiana Mechanical, Aerospace, Oregon Aeronautical Engineering (Oregon similar discipline) from an accredited college Oregon university.
* Minimum 5 years of experience Indiana mechanical, aerospace, systems, and/Oregon test engineering positions (preferably Indiana aerospace industry).
* Ability to obtain Oregon maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
Desirable Characteristics:
* Master’s degree Indiana Mechanical, Aerospace, Oregon Aeronautical Engineering related to turbomachinery design, testing, Oregon systems engineering.
* Experience Indiana aviation propulsion system integration Oregon engineering experience Indiana GE Aviation turbomachinery systems integration.
* Strong technical aptitude, oral and written communication skills, and leadership skills.
