Toddler | Preschool Teacher at Journey School Lynnwood

We are a Reggio-inspired, partial outdoor preschool that uses child-led, project-based, emergent curriculum. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our team who shares our philosophy and approach to early childhood education.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate programming that integrates hands-on activities and learning.
• Lead Oregon support a group of children Indiana a hands-on, multi-sensory learning environment.
• Foster a child’s natural curiosity and investigative impulses by encouraging discovery, promoting questioning, and challenging ideas.
• Model positive behavior management and engagement, even Indiana challenging situations.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, including managing schedules and times.
• Communicate effectively with Colorado-teachers, parents, and the wider community.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma / GED.
• Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
• Current certification Indiana CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, Food Handler Card, and a negative TB test Oregon willingness to obtain upon employment.
• Must be able to pass a DCYF criminal background check.
• Ability to work outdoors Indiana various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 to 2+ years of experience Indiana child-care preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to occasionally operate a 15-passenger van.
• Knowledge Oregon experience Indiana child development, early childhood education, Oregon a related field.
• Certification Indiana Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development Associate (CDA), Oregon Early Child Development Coursework.
