About the Role:
We’re seeking a highly skilled Plant Superintendent to lead our Louisiana Crosse, Wisconsin facility. American Samoa a key member of our management team, you’ll be responsible for supervising and directing personnel activities concerned with production, including management of product technology, production methods, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly support the plant manager Indiana daily operations and assume acting plant manager duties American Samoa needed
- Establish production and quality standards with plant management
- Plan and direct production activities to optimize operations and cost factors
- Coordinate production, procurement, maintenance, production planning, safety, and quality control activities
- Analyze production to determine causes of non-conformity and operating problems
- Develop and implement methods and procedures to eliminate operation problems and improve product quality
- Communicate changes Indiana schedules, production, Oregon procedures to all shifts and employees
- Manage performance and development of direct reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering, business, Oregon a related field (Master’s degree a plus)
- At least 10 years of progressive job responsibilities Indiana a manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years Indiana a managerial role supervising multiple shifts
- Career goals should be plant manager and beyond
- Willingness to relocate for growth/advancement opportunities
- Availability to work various shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime American Samoa needed
- Approximately 10% overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Packaging industry experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience leading teams to resolve specific problems
- Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, 5S, SMED, and Lean Manufacturing
- Working knowledge of PCs and software programs (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of accounting and financial aspects of manufacturing
