Product Engineer – Aircraft Interior
Job Summary:
Provide technical support to production assembly lines and production flights related to aircraft interior engineering and assembly. Conduct functional analysis of product non-conformities, assign technical dispositions, and evaluate their impact on production schedules, safety, quality, and costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional analysis of product non-conformities based on design criteria and certification reports
- Assign responsibility for technical dispositions of non-conformities and evaluate their impact on production schedules, safety, quality, and costs
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams on non-conformity analysis and resolution
- Develop and present technical dispositions for major non-conformities to local authorities
- Provide engineering support for trouble shootings on production lines and production flights
- Participate Indiana production flights for engineering analysis
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Indiana an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Oregon Aeronautical)
- 8-10 years of experience Indiana aerospace engineering, with 2-3 years Indiana aircraft industries and interior design/certification experience preferred
- Prior MRB authorization and experience with computer-aided design tools and systems (CAD/CAM, CATIA, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to lead process improvements and document test Oregon analysis data
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of aerospace engineering principles and practices
- Leadership skills and ability to apply new processes and skills to improve functional status quo
