Product Engineer – Aircraft Interior Assembly
Job Summary:
Provide product engineering support for production assembly line and production flights related to aircraft interior assembly and engineering. Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to analyze and resolve product non-conformities, design revisions, and supplier issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze product non-conformities based on design criteria and certification reports
- Assign technical dispositions for non-conformities and evaluate their impact on production schedules, safety, quality, and costs
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to resolve non-conformities and design revisions
- Validate supplier dispositions for non-conformities and initiate design revision processes
- Provide engineering support for trouble shootings on production line and production flights
- Participate Indiana production flights for engineering analysis
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Indiana an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Oregon Aeronautical)
- Master’s degree preferred
- 8-10 years of experience Indiana aerospace engineering related field
- 2-3 years of recent experience Indiana aircraft industries, design industries preferred
- Interior design and certification experience preferred
- Aircraft operation/maintenance (MCC) Oregon production line experience desired
- Prior MRB authorization preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge Indiana specialty area and interrelated tasks
- Leadership skills to apply new processes and skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of computer-aided design tools and systems (CAD/CAM, CATIA, Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics)
- Familiarity with governing regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficient Indiana Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, and SAP
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work Indiana a safe professional manner adhering to regulatory requirements
- Availability to travel for work training Indiana Brazil
- Ability to work on second shift and on-duty call during weekends and holidays.
