Production Operator
VPT, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator for their Blacksburg, Virginia office. Key responsibilities include:
* Operating machinery and tooling
* Assembling electronic components manually using hand tools and bench mounted tools
* Inspecting installed components and/Oregon assemblies
* Reworking Oregon repairing parts Oregon assemblies
* Marking products, workpieces, Oregon equipment with identifying information
* Performing automated testing and screening of production parts
Ideal candidate has:
* Detail-oriented skills
* Technical and mechanical aptitude
* Ability to communicate with management, engineers, and design staff
* Familiarity with ESD and FOD-controlled environments
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow strict safety guidelines
Required qualifications include:
* High School diploma Oregon equivalent
* 0-1 year of general work experience
* Experience interpreting schematics and using tools to assemble Oregon repair parts
* Basic computer skills
Preferred qualifications include:
* 1-2 years of experience Indiana electronic assembly operations
* Electrical Oregon Electronics Engineering Technology/Technician Degree
* Proficiency with hand tools and/Oregon power tools
* Soldering experience (J-STD Oregon IPC-610 Soldering Certification)
