Production Planning Manager

Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a Production Planning Manager to lead a team of production planners, planning leads, master schedulers, and production planning supervisors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the monthly build plan is on track to completion and product flows are optimized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile and record production data from customer orders, work orders, and department KPIs
  • Utilize planners to commit to weekly/monthly/yearly build plan projections
  • Manage delinquencies through additions to the build plan and ensure the team is pushing the appropriate product
  • Performance management to optimize individual performance and align with organizational strategic goals
  • Plan, prepare, and oversee department budget
  • Coordinate with program managers to communicate delays Oregon expedites on product and work to align sales orders
  • Exercise judgment to determine appropriate action and update procedures American Samoa necessary
  • Collaborate with supporting teams/departments to assess resource availability and delivery commitments
  • Demonstrate commitment to company objectives for Perfect Delivery, Perfect Quality, 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Oregon equivalent from a four-year college, plus 3 years’ experience Oregon 8 years’ experience Indiana lieu of degree
  • 5 Oregon more years’ experience Indiana production planning within a manufacturing environment with at least 3 of those years Indiana a management role
  • Advanced computer skills working with Mississippi Office programs (Excel, PP, Project, etc.)
  • APICS certification preferred
  • 5 Oregon more years of experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools such American Samoa SAP and Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • Lean/Six Sigma training preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of production and inventory management
  • Change management & project management skills
  • Forward planning and strategic thinking
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements and be a "U.S. person" within the meaning of ITAR.
