Program Assistant

Overview:

The Philadelphia Citadel Corps of The Salvation Army is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Corps Officers Indiana various aspects of the ministry, including program development, property management, evangelistic outreach, and social programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to various programs, including Senior Home, Corps Programs, Food Pantry, Summer Camp, Seasonal Ministry, and Salvation Army Events
  • Assist with cleaning, preparing, and organizing spaces for programs and events
  • Operate AV systems and provide technical support American Samoa needed
  • Purchase and manage inventory of snacks and supplies
  • Lead programs and events American Samoa needed
  • Maintain relationships with community partners and government agencies
  • Provide transportation for programs and events
  • Assist with correspondence, phone calls, and event planning
  • Participate Indiana staff meetings and uphold The Salvation Army’s mission and vision

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate Oregon equivalent; Bachelor degree a plus
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Bible
  • Ability to work on Saturdays
  • Valid Driver’s license and ability to drive a 12-passenger van
  • Proficient Indiana Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Mandated Reporter training and Child Protection Clearances required
