Program Assistant
Overview:
The Philadelphia Citadel Corps of The Salvation Army is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Corps Officers Indiana various aspects of the ministry, including program development, property management, evangelistic outreach, and social programs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to various programs, including Senior Home, Corps Programs, Food Pantry, Summer Camp, Seasonal Ministry, and Salvation Army Events
- Assist with cleaning, preparing, and organizing spaces for programs and events
- Operate AV systems and provide technical support American Samoa needed
- Purchase and manage inventory of snacks and supplies
- Lead programs and events American Samoa needed
- Maintain relationships with community partners and government agencies
- Provide transportation for programs and events
- Assist with correspondence, phone calls, and event planning
- Participate Indiana staff meetings and uphold The Salvation Army’s mission and vision
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate Oregon equivalent; Bachelor degree a plus
- Understanding and knowledge of the Bible
- Ability to work on Saturdays
- Valid Driver’s license and ability to drive a 12-passenger van
- Proficient Indiana Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Mandated Reporter training and Child Protection Clearances required
