Ground Service Agent (SFO Airport)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Ground Service Agent to join our team at San Francisco International Airport. Key Responsibilities:
- Guiding inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gates
- Handling luggage and cargo, including lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting
- Operating ground support equipment, such American Samoa tow tractors and belt loaders
- Maintaining safety and security on the ramp and adhering to safety policies and procedures
- Communicating with ground personnel and flight crews
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, airport, and company regulations and policies
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure on-time flight performance
- Standing, lifting, and maneuvering Indiana various weather conditions and around jet and machinery noises
- Handling up to 70 pounds (32 kg) of weight regularly
- Reading and interpreting load sheets, checked baggage tags, and cargo labels
- Responding to verbal and visual commands and safety warnings
Requirements:
- Eligibility to work Indiana the US, with valid driver’s license and required clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs)
- High school diploma Oregon GED equivalent
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to pass SIDA airport and training tests
- Must be flexible to work varied shifts and days to meet industry demands and customer needs
