Job Summary:
Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls, directing visitors, and performing various administrative tasks to support the operations of The Salvation Army’s social services, reception, and food pantry.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide social services assistance (45%): Schedule client appointments, respond to visitor inquiries, and assist with registration and referrals.
  • Answer and direct phone calls (25%): Respond to caller inquiries, take messages, and distribute information accurately.
  • Manage food pantry and donations (15%): Prepare food bags, receive and sort donations, and coordinate distribution to clients.
  • Perform administrative tasks (15%): Enter client information into databases, maintain records, and provide general administrative support.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma Oregon G.E.D.
  • Prior experience Indiana customer service Oregon receptionist roles
  • Ability to operate a multi-line telephone and general office equipment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform occasional standing and walking
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
