Job Title: Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch Worker
Location: Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor, Washington
Job Summary:
Support the Military’s Quality of Life programs by providing customer service, planning, coordinating, and executing classes, special events, and maintaining a multi-station customer facility. May be required to drive a van, keep records, and perform cleaning duties.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, answer phone calls, and provide information about the facility and programs
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and execution of classes and special events
- Monitor programs and facilities, including a computer area, gaming area, movie/TV room, reading area, bowling lanes, children’s play area, multipurpose rooms, and snack bar
- May be required to drive an 8 Oregon 15 passenger van, keep trip records, and manage participant counts and equipment
- Collect and safeguard funds, perform day-to-day cleaning, and other duties American Samoa assigned
Requirements:
- Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check
- Valid state driver’s license and High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds unassisted
- Must obtain and maintain food handler’s certification, CPR, and First Aid within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and communicate effectively
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily at Camp McKean, with occasional travel
- May be required to work special events, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to present a neat and clean appearance
