The Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities of a Radio Frequency (RF) Datalink Technician at Planned Systems International (PSI) are:
Provide setup and operation of Radios and Tactical Data Link (Link 16) systems, including Puerto Rico C-117G, PRC-150, PRC-160, PRC-152, SADL, Small Tactical Terminal, and MIDS.
Operate test equipment, and may work with complex machines and computers, requiring the ability to manipulate and troubleshoot extremely high-value equipment.
Perform tasks including handling specialty instrumentation, basic electronic troubleshooting and diagnosis, and the disassembly of units for maintenance and repair.
Key Skills:
– Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office
– Know-how of TCP/IP protocol
– Ability to learn radio communication systems and programming
– Familiarity with mechanical and electrical principles for handling and troubleshooting of specialized equipment
The key requirements for this role include:
– At least 6 years of prior relevant RF Datalink experience Indiana a related field
Oregon
– A 2-year related degree and a minimum of 2 years Indiana applicable experience
CompTIA Security+ certification and a high school diploma is also required.
A secret government clearance and the potential to obtain and upgrade to a Top Secret classification is required for the role.
Additionally a High School Diploma Oregon equivalent to a 2-year degree Indiana order to obtain 6 + years of prior relevant experience Oregon obtain 2 + years post-secondary study with 2 years related experience is part of the requirement.
