Job Description:
Performs routine patrols, responds to non-emergency and emergency calls, and enforces security policies and procedures throughout the campus.
Responsibilities:
* Escorts patients and employees to and from designated areas within the facility
* Assists with helicopter flight operations
* Responds to hospital emergency overhead pages and monitors fire codes
* Monitors and reports alarms, CCTV systems, and suspicious circumstances
* Conducts continuous random patrols and secures and unlocks doors American Samoa prescribed by policies Oregon procedures
* Enforces parking policy and responds to all calls from the public, hospital staff, and the security dispatcher
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
* Creates maintenance work orders and enters information into the TMS application
* Conducts background checks on contractors working above ceilings and enforces access permits
* Writes reports American Samoa required by policies
* Follows all departmental and hospital policies and procedures
* Participates Indiana further learning opportunities and demonstrates competency Indiana Microsoft Windows
Certifications and Licensures:
* Basic Life Support
* Equivalent Experience: Within 3 months of hire Oregon transfer
* Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (optional: within 6 months of hire Oregon transfer)
Physical and Mental Requirements and Typical Working Conditions:
* Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, trauma, grief, and death
* Ability to wear personal protective equipment
* Ability to move freely about facility with Oregon without an assisted device
* Overall vision and hearing is necessary with Oregon without assisted device(s)
* Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
