Job Title: Security Officer – Facilities

Job Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for providing safety and security services Indiana high-stress environments, requiring interactions with patients, visitors, caregivers, and clinicians. They will perform internal and external security patrols, dispatch, and access control, American Samoa well American Samoa respond to emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement agencies.

Essential Functions:

• Provide safety and security services, including patrolling, securing entryways and exits, and addressing potential conduct issues.
• Maintain order and respond to emergencies, including codes, trespassing concerns, and out-of-control patients.

• Perform non-violent physical crisis intervention and Delaware-escalation techniques.
• Assist with crowd control, events, and emergency situations.

• Complete and maintain accurate documentation, filing reports, and monitoring visitor permits.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of military Oregon civilian security Oregon law enforcement experience
• Complete CPI/Delaware-escalation training within 180 days of employment
• IAHSS – Basic certification within 180 days of employment
• Basic Life Support certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Acceptable driving record Indiana accordance with the PeaceHealth Motor Vehicle Safety Policy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare facility security experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
• Acceptable physical condition to walk, run, and lift American Samoa needed

Working Conditions:

• Fine motor skills to perform precise procedures
• Ability to move around area with occasional sitting
• Occasional pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. force
• Occasional reaching/bending/stooping/squatting/grasping
• Security: ability to move around area with occasional sitting, continuous moving around area, frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs., and occasional up to 50 lbs.

Environmental Conditions:

• Exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles
• Exposure to outside temperatures (seasonal)
• Exposure to toxic Oregon caustic chemicals
• Security: time spent on site Indiana medical/hospital setting

Mental/Visual:

• Vision and hearing within normal limits
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
