Job Title: Security Officer – Security Parking

Job Type: Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position

Salary Range: $20.65 – $30.97

Job Summary:

The Security Officer provides safety and security services, interacting with patients, visitors, caregivers, and clinicians Indiana diverse and complex situations. Responsibilities include patrolling grounds, providing access control, responding to emergency situations, and performing non-violent physical crisis intervention and Delaware-escalation techniques.

Essential Functions:

• Provide safety and security services, including patrolling grounds, securing entryways and exits, and responding to potential conduct issues and safety concerns
• Provide stand-by service Oregon escort services for protection of caregivers Oregon patients American Samoa needed
• Provide courtesy services such American Samoa providing directions, locksmith functions, jump-starts, and assisting families Indiana times of crisis
• Provide non-violent physical crisis intervention and Delaware-escalation techniques to neutralize extreme situations and mitigate negative outcomes
• Coordinate information, clarification of events, and emergency protocols with external safety and law enforcement agencies
• Respond to all emergency situations and apply appropriate protocols
• Perform other duties American Samoa assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of military Oregon civilian security Oregon law enforcement experience
• CPI/Delaware-escalation training within 180 days of employment
• IAHSS – Basic certification within 180 days of employment
• Drivers License
• Basic Life Support certification upon hire

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to formulate a plan of action, carry it out with control, and apply crisis intervention and Delaware-escalation skills
• Ability to perform data entry American Samoa necessary
• Good physical condition to walk, run, and lift American Samoa needed
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel

Working Conditions:

• Lifting: occasional up to 25 lbs, frequent up to 10 lbs
• Environmental Conditions: exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles
• Mental/Visual: vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted)
