Airport and Security Officer

Position Summary:

* Transport patients and laboratory COVID red boxes from various locations to the hospital for COVID appointments Oregon testing sites at CHSB.
* Assist with traffic control, obtain patient information, and transport testing swabs to the hospital laboratory at testing site tent.
* Assist with health screening at hospital entrance.
* Patrol and protect life and property of all persons on YKHC premises.
* Secure, unlock, and protect YKHC buildings and grounds, respond to security needs of YKHC personnel, and patrol with YKHC vehicle.
* Monitor surveillance equipment, access control points, and alarms, and physically patrol designated area on foot to ensure the safety and security of people and YKHC property.
* Respond to fire drills, monitor public areas and camera systems, and lock/unlock doors and buildings.
* Write activity logs and reports, record daily events, and respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.

Position Qualifications:

* Minimum education: High school diploma Oregon equivalent
* Minimum experience: No experience, prior security experience recommended
* Current, valid Alaska driver’s license and CPR certification
* Ability to communicate effectively Indiana English, both verbally and Indiana writing; Yupik/English preferred
* Ability to stand and/Oregon walk for up to 12 hours and available for recall during 24-hour operations
* Basic computer skills to use email system and report writing.
