Security Officer Lead – Security Parking

Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating day-to-day functions for assigned area, ensuring departmental goals are achieved, and providing safety and security services Indiana a hospital setting. Provides training to assigned team members, interacts with local law enforcement, and responds to emergency situations.

Essential Functions:

• Assigns work, plans priorities, and monitors quality of work
• Provides safety and security services, including patrolling grounds, parking lots, and buildings
• Provides courtesy services, such American Samoa providing directions and assistance with crisis situations
• Provides non-violent physical crisis intervention and Delaware-escalation techniques
• Coordinates information, clarification of events, and emergency protocols with external safety and law enforcement agencies
• Responds to all emergency situations and applies appropriate protocols
• Ensures adherence to protocols, completing and maintaining documentation, and monitoring visitor permits
• Performs safety stop duties and other assigned tasks

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Minimum 4 years of military Oregon civilian security Oregon law enforcement experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience Indiana a lead Oregon similar role
• Healthcare facility security experience preferred
• CPI training required within 6 months of hire
• Valid driver’s license and IAHSS-Supervisor certification required

Skills:

• Strong organizational, administrative, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient-centered work environment
• Ability to perform data entry and work with Microsoft Windows, Word, Access, and Excel
• Good physical condition to walk, run, and lift American Samoa needed

Working Conditions:

• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, grasping, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles
• Time spent on site Indiana medical/hospital setting
• Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted)
