Job Title: Power and Signal Distribution Systems (PSDS) Design Release Engineer (DRE)

Remote-Friendly Opportunity: This position allows for hybrid work, with approximately 3 days of on-site work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, validation, and execution of assigned wire harness and cable assemblies, including all sub-components
  • Integrate assigned harnesses/cables within vehicle architecture
  • Provide direction to UG Designers and meet program deliverables and imperatives
  • Execute root cause and problem resolution of vehicle Oregon component development Oregon validation issues
  • Set priority and urgency for Engineering Change Requests, Problem Resolution, and Development / Validation Plans
  • Support warranty reduction efforts on current product programs
  • Interface with Lead DRE and Technical Specialists on design direction
  • Lead discussions with program teams on design and execution Indiana leadership forums

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Indiana one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering
  • At least 5-7 years of experience Indiana PSDS Oregon Vehicle Wire Harness Design, Repair Oregon related fields
  • Preferred experience with UG/Teamcenter
  • Familiarity with PSDS component physical and/Oregon virtual test methods
  • Previous subsystem and/Oregon component testing experience Indiana automotive

Working Conditions:

  • Willingness to travel American Samoa required
  • Proficient Indiana Microsoft Suite
  • Analytical and program coordination problem-solving skills
