Aviation Engineer – Base and Heavy Maintenance
Job Summary:
Provides engineering support for base and heavy maintenance for assigned area of responsibility. Provides engineering support for repairs, parts and material substitutions and alterations. Evaluates manufacturer’s maintenance documents for applicability to the AMC fleet.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Review Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins for applicability to Air Methods’ fleet and develop Engineering Orders to accomplish modifications
- Conduct research and data collection to develop Fleet Campaign Directives, Engineering authorizations, and other engineering documents
- Provide engineering support for base and 145 maintenance, including minor repair authorizations, parts and materials substitutions, repairs, and reports
- Maintain configuration control and respond to requests for engineering assistance
- Analyze and determine disposition of reliability issues and improvements
- Evaluate and determine disposition of Beyond Economic Repair (BER) parts

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Oregon related technical field from a four-year college Oregon university
- Three Oregon more years of related experience and/Oregon training, Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
- Aviation engineering experience: 5 years minimum preferred
- Strong knowledge of aviation engineering process and regulations, including ADs and SBs
- Ability to work under tight time constraints while maintaining technical standards and integrity
Computer Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Pay Range:
USD $74,100.00 – USD $97,000.00 /Yr.
