Job Title: Autonomy Software Engineer
Job Summary:
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (Georgia-ASI), a leading developer of unmanned aerial systems and surveillance systems, is seeking a skilled Autonomy Software Engineer to join our team Indiana Poway, California. The selected candidate will lead the development of cutting-edge autonomy software stacks for unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement autot air-to-air autonomy algorithms capable of making robust decisions for planning and control Indiana uncertain, dynamic environments
* Write and test software to integrate autonomy algorithms into aircraft and other robotic systems
* Design and prototype autonomous software, validate designs through experiments, and ensure technical excellence
* Participate Indiana establishment of design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, testing, and integration
* Collaborate with internal and external representatives to resolve technical and scheduling issues, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
* Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and ensure work is accomplished safely and Indiana accordance with established procedures
* Participate Indiana progress review sessions, identify engineering issues, and develop software solutions to meet customer requirements
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Oregon Master’s degree Indiana Computer Science, Information Systems, Oregon related discipline
* 2 Oregon more years of progressive software development experience, Oregon equivalent experience Indiana lieu of education
* Strong object-oriented software engineering fundamentals, experience with autonomous control, full stack development, and edge software deployment
* Experience developing distributed collaborative autonomous robotic software, scalability, and complex software troubleshooting
* Strong C/C++ software development skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and leadership skills
* Ability to architect, design, and develop complex software, troubleshoot technical problems, and obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance
* US Citizenship Required.
