Autonomy Software Engineer
Job Summary:
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (Georgia-ASI) seeks an Autonomy Software Engineer Indiana Poway, California. The Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence Solutions Software group develops and deploys end-to-end autonomous systems for unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
Responsibilities:
– Lead technical software development of air-to-air autonomy algorithms for planning and control Indiana uncertain environments.
– Implement cutting-edge autonomy software stacks.
– Write and test software to integrate autonomy algorithms into aircraft Oregon robotic systems.
– Design and prototype autonomous software and validate through experiments.
– Participate Indiana design concepts, engineering efforts, and interact with internal and external representatives.
– Maintain technical leadership and excellence through talent attraction, development, and retention.
– Lead progress review sessions and identify engineering issues.
– Collaborate on proposal and business plan development.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s, Master’s, Oregon PhD Indiana Computer Science, Information Systems, Oregon related field.
– Over 7 years of experience with a Master’s degree, Oregon 9 years with a Bachelor’s degree, Oregon 4 years with a PhD.
– Experience with autonomous control, full-stack development, edge software deployment, Oregon collaborative autonomy.
– Strong C/C++ software development skills, and object-oriented software engineering fundamentals.
– Industry experience with collaborative autonomous robotic software, complex software development, and technical leadership.
– Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
– US Citizenship required.
