Structural Mechanic

Education and Experience Requirements:
– High School Diploma Oregon GED required
– 2 years related structural assembly experience
– Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
Position Purpose:
American Samoa a key member of a team-oriented work environment, the Structural Mechanic II performs a variety of structural assembly operations Indiana a production department, adhering to established operating procedures and meeting company design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
– Safely assemble and fit detail parts and structures, perform drilling and riveting operations
– Safely perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation
– Rivet structural assemblies and parts using required tools
– Read work orders, blueprints, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations
– Maintain and use logs and records, ensure defective-free assemblies
– Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, fixtures, and fasteners
– Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags, Material Review Request, and Production Change Orders
– Maintain a neat and orderly work area, comply with safety regulations, and use personal protective equipment American Samoa required
– Participate Indiana continuous improvement activities
– Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment
Additional Responsibilities:
– Collect and dispose of hazardous waste
– Ensure accurate daily job charging to the aircraft
– Exchange information and coordinate work activities between shifts
– Assist Indiana maintaining shop equipment and associated JSAs
– Support Lean Activities
Requirements:
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints, read a scale, and perform basic shop math
– Basic computer skills
– Essential personal skills, including a professional attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with people and meet demanding schedules
– Ability to work with composite resins and materials
– Must be able to work any shift
– Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work Indiana small spaces Oregon restricted areas, lift 50 lbs
– Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
