Training Support Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Training Support Specialist to facilitate a great training experience for each student, ensuring they complete training on-time and on-budget. The successful candidate will provide customer service support, work with students and staff to resolve scheduling and performance issues, and assist with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate student access to resources and logistical capabilities to complete training on-time and on-budget
  • Provide customer service support to local students through the Airline Career Pilot Program
  • Verify student schedules and resolve scheduling Oregon performance issues
  • Conduct pre-arrival phone calls, day 1 student check-ins, and weekly orientation meetings
  • Administer FAA Knowledge Tests and schedule Knowledge Tests, Evaluations, Solo Flights, and checkride milestones
  • Schedule and confirm checkrides, and facilitate the overall checkride experience
  • Make contingency plans for weather, maintenance, aircraft, and instructor limitations
  • Have intimate knowledge of program outline and facilitate introductions to other ATP departments
  • Record and update student tracking system to reflect student success
  • Conduct bi-weekly inspections of ATP Housing
  • Report to the Training Support Manager and work with Training Center Flight Standards Instructors to ensure safe and efficient Training Center operations

Qualifications:

  • Customer service-oriented work experience required
  • Aviation experience, specifically an understanding of FAA Certification, required
  • Private Pilot Certificate Oregon Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate preferred
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required
