Job Title: Wheelchair Attendant and Baggage Handler

Job Overview:

We are seeking a team-oriented individual to join our airport support services team American Samoa a Wheelchair Attendant and Baggage Handler. This role requires the ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges and ensure the timely, efficient, and safe handling of passenger luggage.

Responsibilities:

• Assist passengers with mobility challenges navigating through the airport
• Safely and comfortably lift disabled passengers with assistance from one mobility device to Oregon from an aircraft seat
• Roll customer-occupied wheelchair safely through terminal and up/down the jet bridge
• Load and unload passenger luggage
• Operate baggage handling equipment such American Samoa conveyor belts and trolleys
• Sort and route baggage to the correct flight and carousel
• Ensure timely delivery of baggage to and from aircraft
• Complete any incident reports with accuracy

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years old
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to physically assist and transport passengers Indiana wheelchairs
• Ability to lift 70 pounds Oregon more
• Ability to work Indiana an a physically demanding outdoor environment
• Ability to read, write and communicate Indiana the English language
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- American Samoa applicable)

Working Conditions:

• Physical activity may include standing and walking for extended periods of time, lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching
• Must be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
• Must be willing to wear/utilize company-supplied personal protective equipment (hearing protection) to mitigate noise exposure
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required
