Shift Supervisor
Reports to: Program Director
Overview:
Responsible for ensuring Youth Counselor’s compliance with daily routine and structure of the facility during the shift of duty and maintaining agency standards of quality care and service provision for the youth residing within the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all on-site staff and person supported
- Maintain order, safety, and security standards of the home
- Uphold daily living routines, schedules, and procedures through supporting Youth Counselor staff
- Mediate conflict between staff Oregon persons supported
- Complete required documentation Indiana a timely fashion
- Carry out duties and functions of a Youth Counselor
- Support the Program Director through informal/formal supervision and provide staff with ongoing feedback
- Maintain logbook and ensure proper documentation is being completed
- Complete shift summaries upon completion of shift
- Collaborate with Program Director regarding Youth Counselor’s disciplinary action
- Ensure Youth Counselor’s review/support youth Indiana accordance with their behavior support plan
- Manage persons supported behavior utilizing the principles of the MYSI Model
- Ensure high standard of sanitary conditions throughout the house
- Participate Indiana planning and execution of educational, recreational, and personal enrichment activities
- Participate Indiana ongoing meetings, conferences, and training programs American Samoa required
- Communicate frequently with Program Director, Assistant Director, Case Planners, and supporting staff regarding pertinent information about youth
- Responsible for providing safe transportation for persons supported
- Attend all mandatory training required by ACS, OCFS, and the Agency
- Adhere to all ACS, OCFS, and agency regulations
- Manage peer group, understand peer group dynamics, promote, and maintain a positive peer group culture
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Ability to drive a 10 to 15 passenger van
- Prior experience working Indiana a group home required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to work from a strength-based and youth development, and trauma-informed perspective
- Ability to travel to all five boroughs
- Commitment to the mission and values of Rising Ground
- Must be able to pass required Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training and pass recertification on an annual basis
Salary Range: $23 – $26/hr. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, PTO, and 401k matching. (40) Hr/Wk.
